Betty, Do you know any male Turners are are direct descendants of Wingait M. Turner who you could enlist to do the DNA test? We have a lot of Turners who were in GA that have already documented their lines. This might provide a breakthrough for you. It would certainly help rule out a lot. I've been trying to jog my memory regarding Holts and Turner connections. I know I seem to have something vaguely in my memory and it connects to Hancock Co. GA area but it just won't seem to come forth. Too many Turner lines I'm trying to keep track of. I have never been able to connect Wingate with any other TURNERs on the -List!!!! I have lurked and looked at many of the lines but I have no one line that even seems close to being related to him... I thought at one time the name was William, and just mis-spelled but he's listed in William HOLT's will as Wingate and what few census records I've found use Wingate as his name! I don't know what the "M" stands for either. :-( On Saturday, Jan 13, 2007, at 14:11 US/Eastern, Gail R.
