    3. Trish, I know what you mean. I'm always on the computer, when I'm home that is. I reeeeeally like the websites at MyFamily.com because they are private. You don't have to worry about anybody stumbling onto your family website. Everybody has their own Username and Password. Contact me privately at rogerandjoy@bellsouth.net and I will walk you through it. Thanks for the pointers. Most of my family members are older and not into computers, but the younger generation could appreciate the CD's, web site, etc. and pass on the info to their elders. I keep meaning to get a website going, your email has forced me to make that a reality. We do have a family newsletter I send out each year and I can advertise the site on that. I may also get more updated family info as a result also. We have family reunions each summer and that is how I get most of my updates. I can hardly stay off my computer, with all the updates and people wanting copies of their lines, etc. Trish Turner Roger and Joy Atkinson <rogerandjoy@bellsouth.net> wrote: Someone told me that the margins on PDF format do not match the margins on the Book format. So it makes the pages off. I tell my family member if they have to have it in PDF format then they have to live with the pages being off by a page or two in either direction. The way I share info with my family now is: I print one or two books from Family Tree Maker (FTM) and give them as prizes at our yearly reunion. I email a GEDCOM and tell them they can go purchase FTM or download a free program from www.familysearch.org I invite them to join our private website at www.MyFamily.com to which I have uploaded my file. This is the BEST way to share info and keep in touch. I compiled a book about the descendants of John William Turner several years ago, and have revised it about 5 times, adding more lines and further info. To add interest and an understanding of the history of the era each person lived, I added a few facts from Chronicle of America, Dorling Kindersley Publishing, Inc. and Chronicle of the World, Chronicle Communications Ltd. It kind of put all things in perspective. The only trouble I have had with my book is that originally I had an index, but when converting the MS Word file to PDF file to put on a CD to have it printed, the pages come out different. The page numbers I have listed in the index are often not the same as what are actually there. Any suggestions? Most people answering me recommended about the same thing. SO that is the rout I will take. Thanks to all of the people that answered. If I missed thanking any one it was by error.
