    3. Hi Jean, and thanks for the note. Indeed I have been on the Dutch-Colonies for eons now. A few months ago I did delve into the Tourneur/Turner families of Westchester and environs. There were Turners in the area my Isaac enlisted in War/1812. I have never posted the Turner family on that list, however. Never occurred to me but think I will do so. I am now seriously wondering if Isaac was, in fact, born in FR. His dau., Mathilda, was quite elderly when the article about her appeared in the Scranton papers, and she may have misspoken. I wish the census way back when had more info as there are numerous Isaac Turner's I'd like to find out more about. I joined the Dutch list trying to find the family for my Judith SLOAT/SLOT. I certainly learned a lot about that surname and do believe she is a part of it due to her given name, but cannot find a tie-in - yet!
