    3. April 15, 1995 Confederate hero will get last wish Livingston, Texas---- Exactly 132 years after his death, Capt. Ike Turner's dying wish will be fulfilled today when his remains are buried beside those of his mother. Turner, a Confederate Civil War hero who asked to be taken home to Livingston after receiving a mortal wound in Georgia, will be laid to rest in a family cemetery in Texas' rural Polk County as part of a living-history event sponsored by the Ike Turner Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Turner, a veteran of Fredericksburg and other Virginia battles, died in April 1863 after becoming, at age 21, the youngest captain in Confederate Gen. John Bell Hood's brigade, said Mack Neal, commander of the Turner Camp. Dorothy Grisham dotcole@rnet.net
