Hello Turner Researchers: I have written to this list before, but have not gotten any responses. I'd like to try a different route. This time, I would like to start with Garrison TURNER b. December 25, 1838 in Fort Wayne, Benton, IN (possibly Indianapolis); d. August 29, 1916 in Modesto, Stanislaus, CA married. Sept. 2, 1859 in Corvallis, Benton Co., OR. Elizabeth Jane STARR b. September 24, 1841 in Walnut Grove, IA; d. November 27, 1921 possibly in Modesto, CA So far that I have found, their children are: 1. Ellen Grace Turner b. July 22, 1860 d. July 13, 1862 2. Henry Garrison Turner b. May 1, 1862 + md. (1) Inez May Rice(d. Sept. 1887) (2) Emma Catherine Rice 3. Leander Theodore Turner b. Feb. 1, 1864 + md. Elsie Mariam Sheldon 4. Florence Starr Turner b. Oct. 15, 1866 + md. George White Elsey 5. Mary Irene Turner b. Apr. 1, 1870 + md. Edwin Owen Marriott 6. Rosa Edith Turner b. Mar. 10, 1878 + md. William Scofield Bowker 7. Olive Myrtle Turner b. Nov. 16, 1880 + md. Lewis Lincoln Dennett 8. Elvena Muriel Turner b. June 14, 1887 + md. Leroy M. Morris One other source names another son Keziah Turner b. abt 1877 and doesn't mention Ellen Grace Turner. June 28, 1860 Garrison and Elizabeth were living in Butte Precinct, Benton Co., OR, according to the Federal Census. By 1870 they were living in Empire Twp. and San Joaquin Twp., Stanislaus County, CA. Can anyone add to my data or perhaps you are connected... Any info would be greatly appreciated.
