I am searching for descendants of William E. Turner, born c1792, Sussex Co, VA. In all likelihood, his middle name was EDMUNDS, as his grandmother was Elizabeth Edmunds. William was the son of Vines Turner, born 1766, Sussex, and Ann ADAMS, dau. of Martha and Thomas ADAMS of Surry Co, VA. William moved with his parents to Franklin Co, NC about 1806, near the border with Granville Co. I have reason to believe that some of his descendants migrated to Greene Co, GA. William E. Turner was the uncle of Henry Gray Turner, a US congressman from GA for whom TURNER County, GA was named. Also, I would be interested with any TURNER researcher with ties to the EDMUNDS or JARRETT families. Lee Turner
