    1. [TURNER-L] TURNER, William E., born c1792
    2. David L. Costner
    3. Lee I think you have the information on Turner's that I had but went back to book on Isle of Wight Co which is next to Sussex and looked for Edmunds and Jarrett. Charles Jarret and Mary, his wife sign appraisal of Thomas Hardy in 1717. Looks like they are executors of his will. In 1719 they, are returning accounts on his estate. No will in book. I think Mary is Thomas's wife from later info found. George Hardy, died in 1693/4 and mentions his grandchildren Richard and George Jarrett and daughters, Mary and Sarah along with sons Richard and Thomas. so Mary Jarrett was sister or wife to Thomas who must have died without heirs??? George Hardy m. Mary Jackson in 1666, she was d of Richard Jackson. In 1728 there was a Issac Jarret whose land adjoined James Sampson in describtion of land. I think I put this in before but there was a Thomas Jarrell Sr. (yes, ll's, not tt's) who left to grandson Thomas Turner, daughter Ann Turner, daughter Sarah parker, grandson Thomas Parker, son Thomas and grandson Thomas Jarrell. 1741 William Edmunds dies in 1769 leaves one son Solomon and daughters but none married to Turner in this will - Mary Bracey, and grandsons last name of Beal, and Holland. Other names listed under Edmonds, Edmunds are Charity, David, Howell, Solomon, James, jane, Kernhappuch, Martha, Mary, Molly, Sally. All in index - did not look up. Lots and lots of Edwards. All the above taken from will book. Below taken from marriage book. Howell Edmunds p. 16 m. Kerenhappuck Whitfield 1781 James p. 53,54 - his relict, Jane married Britain Britt in 1797 James, m. Mrs. jane Norsworthy, relict of John in 1795 There was a John who died in 1793 Jenny, p. 60, 94 m. Britton Britt in 1797 He was from South Hampton Solomon, p. 16 m. - English, d of Mary English in 1774 Sarah Jarrell, p. 35 - d. of Thomas, married Richard parker in 1741 Thomas Jarrell, p. 26, m. Martha Kinchin, d. of William in 1734 Charles Jarrett, p. 26 m. Mrs. Mary Hardy, relict of Thomas in 1717 I am not even going to go into the deeds book for not sure I am helping you and there is enough here to see if names are matching. I think they use jarrell and Jarrett as the same, but not sure. And they appear to use Edmonds, Edmunds and Edwards the same. I hope I haven't mixed you up too much. Deana Dcost@compuserve.com
