    1. [TURNER-L] Circus Turners
    2. Garry & Dee Moore
    3. Thought I would post what I have found so far for Lee Turner and Carol Turner Green especially but also for the whole list. In a book entitled: Circus, A World History I found the following references to Turners. On page 72 Jules Turnour was spoken of as one of the greatest of clowns on the bill. This is the single information I found in any of the four books I've looked at. On page 53-54: Aaron Turner, a shoemaker of English descent, who taught his sons Napoleon B. and Timothy V. to make and build up a canvas enclosure and with one or two others, and considerable courage, set out on a tenting season. Aaron Turner did have his own circus and did not join up with anyone until Barnum. Aaron's circus was in the 1830's. The son's increased their performing repertoire-in addition to tumbling, rope-walking and contortion, did some fancy riding and vaulting. Their sister became equally versatile. She is not called by name in here though. Hope this is helpful to you. Happy hunting. DeeAnn Ludden Moore Descendant of Antoinette Turner.
