Phyllis you asked about a William Turner b.abt 1750 that lived in the Saluda river area in Laurens co. SC. His father's will is to be found in "Will Book VV 1776-1784 state of South Carolina" His wife is Elizabeth and he died Feb 1, 1774. His children are listed are: Sons- William (maybe your line), Richard,John, Edward,Absalom, David, Dau- Mary Edwards, Ann Abney, Elizabeth Stevens, Deborah,and Priscilla. Grandson Wiliam (sonof Richard). There is some written on him in early history of the 96th District of SC.
