On the 1860 census, John and Rosanna were listed in Jones County, Washington Township, Iowa. John was listed in 1870 census as living in the Bridget MCCARTY household in Butler Township, Jackson County, Iowa. Rosanna apparently passed away before 1870. Children of JOHN TURNER and ROSANNA ? are: EDWARD (2) TURNER, born in Ireland, date of birth not available, died about 1863-65 in Iowa, possible in the Civil War or in a mining accident at Nightengale Mining in Dubuque County, Iowa. EDWARD (2) TURNER was married to MARGARETTE MCKEE either in Ireland, New York or Ohio. Margarette was the daughter of PATRICK MCKEE and ELIZABETH ?. Could be spelled MCGEE or MAGEE. Emmigrated to US sometime before 1854. MARY TURNER, born in Ireland, date of birth not available. May of emigrated to US. Not sure if she stayed in US. She was a sponsored to the baptism of Edward and Margarette TURNER'S son; Patrick TURNER in Garryowen, Iowa in 1857. KATHERINE TURNER, born in Ireland, date of birth not available. May of came to US. THOMAS TURNER, born in Ireland, date of birth not available. Not sure weather Thomas emigrated to US or not. Family lore say he lived to be about 113 year old. JOHN TURNER, born in Ireland, date of birth not available. May of stayed in Ireland. TIMOTHY TURNER, born in Ireland, date of birth not available. May of stayed in Ireland. MARGARET TURNER, born in Ireland, date of birth not available. Not sure if she immigrated to US. BRIDGET TURNER, born about 1830 in Ireland. Died in 1881, Jackson County, Iowa. Married to ?
