    3. Continuing from Gone to Georgia... 1785 Wilkes co. tax list shows naames of Shadrack, Meshack (2) and james turner. other records on this family are found in Wilkes and Lincoln Co, GA. Meshack Jr. dies in 1794 leaves widow Rebecca and large family. Sons James and John are adm. of will along with son-in-law David Ogletree, married d. Rebecca. 1820 Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego. James B. Shaadrack jr. and William were in Lincoln co. 1818 tax list of Lincoln showed Shadrack owned land in Jasper co where Larkin turner had land. William had land in Clarke Co. whre James, a Rev. veteran lived in 1827. 1820 Jesse, James (2) John G., L. Monson and Richard Turner were in Jasper Co. John Turner's will in Columbia Co. 1825 mentioned Colemans, Billingsleas and Stephen Turner his son who got land in Morgan Co. A number moved to ala. wills being left among others by Larkin in chamber co. and Meshack in Macon co. In St. Clair co, AL William turner born in SC 1803 married 1849 to Tabitha Brewer, widown of Jesse Ginn, a Rev. veteram from pittsylvania Co. VA. 1830 Walker Co, AL John Turner William, robert and Matthias Turner were counted. Mathias was said to have ben one of Gen Andrew Jackson TN volunteers. He had atleast two sons John H. Turner a Methodist minister and James. 1850 Census shows Jameees born in NC 1803 and he may be of a different family. This ends the comments from the Gone to GA book. Great reference but mixed as you can tell from above. One county, state flows into another. Stewart had a vast amount of knowledge about families that came through GA.
