    3. Although one could argue tht over-harsh messages to the innocent poster of the hoax scare is better than publicly blasting the individual via posting to the list, I urge everyone to remember that it is always the inexperienced who fall prey to the hoaxes, and it appears that the hoaxers motives are not to scare everyone, but to victimize the innocent person who passes-along the warning - and thus face the wrath of those experienced users who are not duped into passing-along such scares. I hope the victim does not unsubscribe for now, and patiently waits to meet the more polite listusers. I checked with IBM before I disregarded the hoax. I had to leave a list last year because I'd mentioned actor Maurice Chevallier, and a listuser thought I had declared myself a chauvanist - and thus flooded me with politically correct nonsense for two months.
