I am looking in the index to High in Old Virginia's Piedmont by John K. Gott. It is the history of Marshall (Salem) Fauquier Co, VA. p. 20 shows Andrew Turner as head of a tax district in 1819 p. 183 shows Charles G. Turner Oil company purchasing property in 1985 p. 57 shows Edward Carter Turner in 1849 as a member of Trinity Church. p. 63 shows Edward Carter Turner's home 'Kinloch' during the Civil War as hosting the family of Col. John Augustine Washington, Aide-de-camp to Gen Robert E. Lee. His wife's name was Eleanor Love (Seldon). Oldest son was Lawrence Washington and another son George Washington. Not sure why they moved in with Turner. p. 181 shows John Turner and his wife Harriet Turner seeling two lots in the town of Salem in Oct. 1831. p. 195 shows John A. Turner purchasing a lot in 1831 and selling the property in 1836 with his wife Harriet. they now live in Zanesville, Ohio. p. 162 shows Hezekiah Turner purchasing a lot in 1847 p. 145 shows John Page Turner Mayor of The Plains in 1977 p. 73 shows William F. Turner one of several men to become trustees for the Public Free School of Marshall District in Fauquier in 1874. I am slowly going through the material I have in hopes someone will recognize a name or location they should search Turners in. Deana
