He married Esther Clarissa "Esta" Gressett1 February 03, 1859, Grimes County, TX daughter of Charles Gressett and Elizabeth Robertson. Children : i. Sarah C "Sallie"2 Turner, born June 01, 1860; died January 06, 1887 in Grimes County TX. She married Asa Tobias Chaddick1 January 20, 1886 in Grimes County TX. ii. William Joseph Turner, born December 1861; died WFT Est. 1907-1953 in Grimes County, Texas iii. Mary M Turner, born Abt. 1864; iv. Martha Clarissa Turner1, born November 07, 1866; died January 16, 1887 in Carlos, Grimes County, TX v. Bennie J Turner, born August 31, 1868; died April 22, 1896 in Grimes Cy TX. vi. Ella Turner, born May 23, 1872; died July 28, 1959 in Grimes Cy TX. vii. Lucy Cynthia Turner, born June 09, 1875; died August 01, 1970 in Corrigan TX.
