    3. Marian, Have you read Pauline Turner Fake's book "Traditional Ancestos of James Turner : JAMES TURNER (1758-1826) and his many Descendants through 1978." This book is known to contain errors, but it is the only publication on this Turner family that I know of. It traces some descendants of William Turner and Mary McLemore who migrated to Georgia. The book does not name their parents. William Turner may belong to the Lamont clan, of which Turner (or Macinturner) was a sept. I believe (but cannot prove) that I am descended from them through Smith Turner, a Revolutionary War veteran who moved to Indiana Territory in about 1806. There are numerous descendants of Smith Turner throughout the Mid-west. Would you be willing to co-operate on tracing the ancestry of William Turner and Mary McLemore?
