Hello, I hope some of you out there on the Turner list may be able to help me. I'm searching for any information on my Great Great Grandfather's family. His name was James R. Turner, born April 4, 1836, and we have reason to think it was in Patrick County, Virginia. He married Sarah Jane Wood, daughter of Josiah Wood and Deliah Boyd. After the Civil War both families moved to southwestern Virginia. James served in the 51st Infantry. I'd appreciate any information that might lead me to finding his parents.
