Hi Gangs, A kind lady some time ago, in response to my query, sent me the following TURNER family as listed in the 1850 Davidson Co., TN census: John born 1815 Jane 1816 Nancy 1834 Josephus 1840 John 1842 Lucinda 1846 Henry 1848 This family then showed up in the 1860 Census living in Gibson Co., TN. I kept this on file because the time, place, and name-John- were right for my grandfather, John W. TURNER, b29 Apr 1842. Now, I recently learned that I had a great uncle Joe, brother to grandfather John W., who was living in Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN, when my grandfather died in Jefferson Co., Illinois, 4 Nov 1909. A newly found second cousin gave me a copy of a handwritten letter from Joe (I hope that means Josephus!) in Shelbyville inquiring about the death of his brother, my grandfather, John W. TURNER. Small world, isn't it? Here's the question: Any of this look familiar to any of you TN Turners? Hope to hear from you, Floyd Turner
