Dear Turner Cousins: I am at a dead end on locating my WILLIAM TURNER, b. 22 Apr 1795, d. 11 Oct 1896, Pierce Co., GA. He married LURAINEY BYRD, b. 25 Oct 1808, Bulloch Co., GA, d 1909 PierceCo. Children were: Henry b. 1834 d 1864; Mary b. 1835;Susan b. 1837; Maria b. 1839;Edith b 1842Jane b. 1844; Charity b. 1848; MARTIN ASBURY TURNER b. 1850; Missouri, 1874, Wesley Layaffelt Turner, b. 1875. He was my GGG grandfather. My GG father was MARTIN, who married 1. Mary Walker. Children were: ElLIZABETH b. 1873, Ezekial, Harley, Jackson, Joel, Martin, Miranda, Moses, Raliegh, Elle Lee. William and Lurainey moved from Bulloch Co. to Pierce Co. where they lived, raised a family and died. I believe that his ancestors may have been connected to Abisha Turner, SC, and maybe Jessee Turner who moved from Appling Co., GA to Florida.
