    3. Surely having more than one list is redundant. I mean, all the posts that don't apply are annoying, but we must face facts here - Turner is a common name, and none of us are going to be related to even most of the people on the list!! I live in Australia. My family is from England. I don't know yet if other members of the family went to America, but there is a good chance that they did. Therefore, if there is an American list, an English list and an "other places" list, I need to join at least two of them. Better to keep all the information in one place, rather than spread it out, don't you think?? I mean, if it's concentrated, you don't have to look as far. Besides, most American (and Australian) families came from England in the first place. There's every chance in the world that an English researcher might spot a long-lost relative on the list in an American inquiry, etc. If another list starts, I will join it, but I'd rather keep it all in one list. Just my two cents!! I feel that this and some other lists should now be split into 2. One for America and one for the rest of the world. And then maybe split further Specialised surname lists like this one seem to be all state side orientated which I'm personaly not interested in, 99percent of the mail received is about BDM's in America. Don't know what others think, but if the lists where into States it would help in the narrow down the search, same goes for the UK. Very Popular names are far flung, when you are trying to research one area it surely would be easier. Michael ==== TURNER Mailing List ==== List problems?
