    3. Hello, I am new to this list and am posting for the first time. My ancestor, Stephen Turner born about 1760 in Bedford Co., Va married Mary Roundtree 16 July 1782 in Bedford Co., Virginia. Stephen removed with his family to Lincoln Co., Kentucky about 1794 where he died in 1807. Mary continued to live in Lincoln Co., Kentucky. Children were: Nancy Turner born abt 1783 in Bedford Co., Va; married Joseph Colvin 25 July 1804 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky Susanna Turner born abt 1788 in Bedford Co., Va; married Alexander McKinney 26 Mar 1806 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky Jabez Turner born about 1793 in Bedford Co., Va. Martha Turner born about 1795 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky. She married 19 Dec 1812 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky fo Elijah Colvin. She died after 1850 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky. Paschal Turner born 16 Feb 1798 in Lincoln Co., Ken. He married Elizabeth Ann Truman 20 Oct 1824 in Lincoln Co., Ken. Paschal died 1876. John O. Turner born abt 1799 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky; married Polly Porter. Edmond David Turner born 29 Sep 1802 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky. He married Emily (Miley) Crotts 14 April 1825 in Washington Co., Indiana. Edmund died 19 Jun 1881 in Pekin, Washington Co., Indiana. Mary Turner born abt 1800 in Lincoln Co., Ken. ------------------ Stephen Turner may have had brothers or cousins named: James Turner and Caleb Turner. Men by these names appear on Lincoln Co., Ken tax lists about the same year Stephen Turner begins appearing. ------ I have extensive research notes on the Bedford Co., Va Turner families. The only one who could possibly be a parent is probably Nathan Turner who married Agnes Phelps. But, for this, I have no basis in documentation. ---------- What about the Amherst Co., Va Stephen Turner. Does anyone know the children by his first wife? Thanks so much for any help on this Lois M. ===== "Family love is this dynamic awareness of time, this shared belonging to a chain of generations...we collaborate together to root each other in a dimension of time longer than our own lives." by Michael Ignatieff "Lodged in the Heart of Memory" Personal website: http://members.networld.com/masters/index.html __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
