    1. [TURNER] Aaron Turner
    2. Lamar, My Great great grandfather was Aaron Turner ( born abt. 1804 in SC). From what I have been able to find out, he was the son of Thomas Turner. I know that my great grandfather, Marcus Jefferson Turner was born in Henry County and from there his family went to Campbell County and Douglas County. I had someone in Douglas county tell me that they were Indians but they were lists a white. In the picture of my grandmother, as a little girl, she has very small slanted eyes. She had very fair skin. Do you have any history of this family further back than SC. Thanks, Anna

    3. I think this Andrew Turner lived in Oglethorpe Co, GA in the early 1800 but I have no knowledge of him before that. I'm not even sure he connects to my family. That is why I'm trying to find someone to do the DNA test. 3. Phillip, Thank you for the update on the Turner Parker Pedigree. Thats a lot of work! In looking over my Turner line, I found I have one more wife for Zadoc. On Zadoc Turner b. Feb 23, 1729 in Worcester Co. Md. and d. 12 Oct 1819 in Morgan County, Ga. (I found this death date on his obituary from the Georgia Joural Newspaper, 1809-1818 by Fred R. Hartz 1990.) First wife for Zadoc may have been Elizabeth Parker with no children and second to Sabra Hicks m. 1755 in Worcester Co. Md. Third wife, Mary Ann Blizzard m. 1764 in Worcester Co., Md., she died before 1795 in Maryland. Her father, Thomas Blizzard Will dated 8 April 1794 and proven 2 June 1795, states that his wife (no name) to get the Turner plantation. To Thomas Turner, son of Zadock, plantation Friendship and Hezekiah Turner son of Zadock ( doesn't say he gets). Both of these sons are named in Worcester County Maryland Will Book JW 1791-1795 by Ruth Dryden. My line is Sabra Hicks, her daughter Mary Turner m. Sampson Turner. Hope this helps. 3. The testing company we use for our Turner DNA Project has offered all surname groups a very limited number of gift certificates to be used on some new tests. The tests must be ordered and paid for before December 31, 2006. We were offered: Two $20 certificates to be used on two new Y-DNA25 marker tests--one of these has already been requested and used. Two $30 certificates to be used on two new Y-DNA37 or 67 marker tests. Two $15 certificates for new mtDNA tests (I don't push these tests as I feel they are not of much genealogical value). They can't be used to upgrade anyone already in the project. If you have a very well documented line back to an EARLY Turner ancestor who had his roots in the mid-Atlantic region of the American colonies, and would be interested in possibly being considered for one of the above Y-DNA tests, please send me your lineage outline showing the birth and death and locations and spouse names if known for your earliest known documentable ancestor and how your lineage traces to him. We would particularly love to have lines that can be documented to an known immigrant into this region but if it is to someone who really is early or documented to someone with an early Will or pensioned Revolutionary War Soldier, I might consider that. The person tested must be a male Turner (no female interruptions in the line) back to the earliest known Turner ancestor. Because of restrictions of the List, I can't mention the name of the testing company and can't give the price of the kits. E-mail me if you need information. Also, go to our Turner DNA Project website at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~turnerdna/ We now have 225 members. It continues to be a really exciting adventure as DNA testing for genealogy purposes becomes widely used across all surnames. Gail R. Blancett Administrator Turner DNA Project

    3. I know that some people in Australia belong to this site as I have contacted a couple in the past. I would like some one around Adelaide S.A. see if they can find a listing for Mr or Mrs Paul Hillbig. My last known address for them was 7 Maple Rd--Hawthorndene S.A. 5051. I have lost their E-mail address.--Donald
