I'm looking for information on Nancy E Adams, whose parents were Thomas Adams, and Elizabeth. Nancy married William Daniel Campbell. They were somehow connected to the Turner families, who were all connected somehow or other to the Ashby families. Last I have of them was around Hopkins Co Ky. Wonder if anyone has any clue to this information in their own histories??
Trying to identify a female Turner (possible first name of Fannie) who married James Walker about 1820 in either the Carolinas or AL. She is believed to have been born about 1800 in NC and this may have been her second marriage. Not a subscriber to this list so if anyone has info, please reply direct to: walkerbw@swbell.net Thanks for any help, Bill
HI, I am trying to find information on Frannie Turner (possibly Virginia A) born about 1862-66. Father is Samuel Preston Turner. Frannie may have married a Wiseman and settled in Columbus Ohio. Any information would be greatly appreciated, MClancy363@aol.com
You are related to my husband through his maternal grandfather, Walter Adams who also came from the same Turner/Adams line. double first cousin type of thing. The Turners and Adams married in Maryland and Virginia each other plus Ashbys. Turner Ashby is also of the line. I would rather send by mail so I can make copies of what I have than retype into message form. Maybe someone else will send it email, if so let me know. If not, then I'll send snail mail but send your address. Deana Costner Dcost@compuserve.com

I would be very greatful for any help and guidence on this family. I'm up against the famous brick wall and lost.

For your information. The Log Cabin Democrat. Conway, Faulkner County Ar. Is on line www.thecabin.net There is a obituaries section and an archives section that goes back about two years. Danny
Lee I think you have the information on Turner's that I had but went back to book on Isle of Wight Co which is next to Sussex and looked for Edmunds and Jarrett. Charles Jarret and Mary, his wife sign appraisal of Thomas Hardy in 1717. Looks like they are executors of his will. In 1719 they, are returning accounts on his estate. No will in book. I think Mary is Thomas's wife from later info found. George Hardy, died in 1693/4 and mentions his grandchildren Richard and George Jarrett and daughters, Mary and Sarah along with sons Richard and Thomas. so Mary Jarrett was sister or wife to Thomas who must have died without heirs??? George Hardy m. Mary Jackson in 1666, she was d of Richard Jackson. In 1728 there was a Issac Jarret whose land adjoined James Sampson in describtion of land. I think I put this in before but there was a Thomas Jarrell Sr. (yes, ll's, not tt's) who left to grandson Thomas Turner, daughter Ann Turner, daughter Sarah parker, grandson Thomas Parker, son Thomas and grandson Thomas Jarrell. 1741 William Edmunds dies in 1769 leaves one son Solomon and daughters but none married to Turner in this will - Mary Bracey, and grandsons last name of Beal, and Holland. Other names listed under Edmonds, Edmunds are Charity, David, Howell, Solomon, James, jane, Kernhappuch, Martha, Mary, Molly, Sally. All in index - did not look up. Lots and lots of Edwards. All the above taken from will book. Below taken from marriage book. Howell Edmunds p. 16 m. Kerenhappuck Whitfield 1781 James p. 53,54 - his relict, Jane married Britain Britt in 1797 James, m. Mrs. jane Norsworthy, relict of John in 1795 There was a John who died in 1793 Jenny, p. 60, 94 m. Britton Britt in 1797 He was from South Hampton Solomon, p. 16 m. - English, d of Mary English in 1774 Sarah Jarrell, p. 35 - d. of Thomas, married Richard parker in 1741 Thomas Jarrell, p. 26, m. Martha Kinchin, d. of William in 1734 Charles Jarrett, p. 26 m. Mrs. Mary Hardy, relict of Thomas in 1717 I am not even going to go into the deeds book for not sure I am helping you and there is enough here to see if names are matching. I think they use jarrell and Jarrett as the same, but not sure. And they appear to use Edmonds, Edmunds and Edwards the same. I hope I haven't mixed you up too much. Deana Dcost@compuserve.com
I am searching for descendants of William E. Turner, born c1792, Sussex Co, VA. In all likelihood, his middle name was EDMUNDS, as his grandmother was Elizabeth Edmunds. William was the son of Vines Turner, born 1766, Sussex, and Ann ADAMS, dau. of Martha and Thomas ADAMS of Surry Co, VA. William moved with his parents to Franklin Co, NC about 1806, near the border with Granville Co. I have reason to believe that some of his descendants migrated to Greene Co, GA. William E. Turner was the uncle of Henry Gray Turner, a US congressman from GA for whom TURNER County, GA was named. Also, I would be interested with any TURNER researcher with ties to the EDMUNDS or JARRETT families. Lee Turner
