Hello All, I descend from the Taylor line. Recently received the obit of my gg-step-grandmother and in it is named the children. All are recognized except one...Mrs. CHARLES TURNER of Cleveland OHIO. The only child not listed in the obit is Orpha Taylor.....is Orpha, Mrs. Charles Turner? This obit was written in Oct.1917 so Charles Turner and his wife would have been in Cleveland Ohio at that time. Anyone know them? Thanks Julie _______________________________________________________ Get your free, private email at http://mail.excite.com/

Is anyone looking for a CHARLES TURNER who was living in Fairfax Co., VA in the late 1700s? I have microfiche of Fairfax Co. court records (only Turners) that mention a Charles Turner as early as 1783 through 1802, when the microfiche records stop. There is also one listing for a "FRANCINA TURNER (Mrs. CHARLES)" in 1797. This must have been Charles' wife. Pam

Joan - How far is Salisbury from Herne Bay, Blean, or Canterbury in Kent? We have been searching for our long-lost gg-grantparents for way too many years. It seems that some time before 1869 FRANCIS TURNER married JOHN TURNER, and then they had a daughter on Nov. 5, 1869, EUGENI HELENA MAUD TURNER, who is my g-grandmother. Eugeni's birth was recorded in the Bay Herne registration district. She came to America in 1890 to marry a man - my g-grandfather - already with many children whom she had never met in Dennis, Massachusetts. Do any of these folks show up in your people? Francis' maiden name was TURNER as well. Betsy Miller Joan Lutz wrote: > > I am turning up some good info on my Turners from Salisbury, Eng. No one > has ever been interested before.
