I have alot more information on my line than I did before. I will give dates if I have them except for the children of Charles and Laura. George Turner married Hulda Jackson and had at least Charles (aka Charlie) Turner b. 1887 d. 1949. James Johnson married Cordia Jackson and had at least Laura Luvenna Johnson b. 1890 d.1958. Charles and Laura married and had: Bruce, Frank, Nina, Ruth, Claude, Chester (aka Chess), J.C., George Henry, Pless, Zelma, Lester. Charles and Laura raised their family in Thorn Hill, Grainger County, TN. I am not sure if Hulda and Cordia were related but from what I know of those times it is possible. I did find out that the population of Grainger County in 1990 was 1,145. I found Charles and Laura in a cemetery listing. That is how I got Charles death certificate. Write back soon. I wouldnt be a bit surprised if somehow, someday you and I make a connection!! Bye for now, Mitzi --KAA06595.932827542/imo13.mx.aol.com-- --part1_ef615fd0.24cb3192_boundary--

Hello! I am trying to find information on my great grandfather Clinton Gray Turner, Sr. He married Obelia Fletcher August 19, 1914 in Long Branch, NJ. He died in Norfolk, VA. Any information and assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Sean
I found a JOSEPH TURNER listed several times in the court records of Fairfax Co., VA. There is also mention of his wife, ELIZABETH. The time range was between 1783 and 1799. It appears that they may have migrated in 1799. If you're looking for this family, let me know. Pam
Still attempting to locate anything on gg-grandmother Martha Ann Turner who married Robert William Ashcraft in Grant Co. KY 6/5/1848. They had one living child Rosetta Ashcraft. Martha apparently died after giving birth later and the infant died 1/2/1852. Robert William married Catherine Cook 9/7/1852. The 1870 Grant Co. KY Census shows a Sarah Turner, age 74, residing in the same household as Rosetta & husband Richard Morehead. This was possibly her grandmother. Sarah's place of birth is shown as KY. Rosetta's marriage bond to R. N. Morehead lists (Martha) her mother's birthplace as Kenton Co. KY. Has anyone seen either of these Turners? Janice
Does anyone have an Erias S. Turner or Eriah Turner that would have been born on January 11, 1848 (I don't know where)? He might be the son of another Erias. He had a daughter named Mary Anniebelle Turner who married James Alexander Cook. Mary's death Certificate states she was born in Little Rock, Arkansas (Pulaski County), but I don't know for sure. Her father and she are both buried at Pisgah Cemetary in Hardin or McNairy County, TN. Does anyone have an Erias in TN, NC, Ark, MS or anywhere? Mary was supposed to be part Indian, probably fro her mother, I believe her father was pretty much white.
