    1. [TURNER-L] Yancy Turner
    2. Dorothy Gray
    3. Hi: Am wondering if any of you know anything bout my great grandfather, Yancy Turner, born in NC, moved to Sumner Co., TN where he died. His mother was Susannah Turner, daughter of Henry H. Turner, Caswell Co., NC. Yancy, also spelled Yancey, was born in 1786, died in 1878. I think he was a tobacco farmer, and he did have 10 slaves at one time. His father was Thomas Graves Yancy, who fathered him out of wedlock as a teenager. Thomas had a Graves connection which could go all the way back to Captain Thomas Graves, first settler in VA. Would like to fill in some blank spots regarding his lifestyle, how much and where his farm was located in Sumner Co., TN. Thanks for any input on Yancy. Dorothy Turner Gray

    1. [TURNER-L] Children of Benjamin F. Price
    2. Hi Fellow Researchers - Benjamin Franklin PRICE, b. ca 1839, married Mary Anna LONG and had seven children: Robert M., Thomas A., Margaret L., Cornelia A., Mary H., Lillie E. and R. F. Price. I have the year of birth of all, but not the names of any of the spouses, except for my paternal grandfather, Thomas A. Price, b. 26-Apr-1862, who married Bessie TURNER, nee Tribue. Does anybody have any information on those missing spouses, especially the daughters' husbands? Ross HALL and his wife, Sallie, lived next door to Thomas' son, John E. Price, my father, in ABILENE, TX, and either Ross or his wife, Sallie, was my father's cousin. I believe it must have been Sallie because my parents usually referred to her as Sallie MARSHALL, which I take to be her maiden name, and I'm trying to find out if that cousin was a child of one of his father's sisters, or if it was through his mother, my grandmother, Bessie. If it was through my grandfather's side, it just ties up a few loose ends, but if through my grandmother's, it could tear down a brick wall for me. John

    1. [TURNER-L] Turner family London
    2. Jayne Cole
    3. Dear All I am a new subscriber trying to locate my Turner family from London. The only leads I have are that Fredrick Turner married Rebecca Baggarley. Rebecca had a son call Ernest Sidney Baggarley born 1898 died aged 19 Ist July 1916 at the Somme, another son was Henry Turner born 1901. Fredrick was a Marine Dealer? I have looked on the London i.g.i - nothing, I have checked the 1881 census records and although I found a Fredrick Turner, he may be too old to be Henry's father and I can not find mention of Rebecca Baggarley. The Turners were supposed to come from Lambeth & Baggerleys Southwalk. If anyone recognises any of these names or places, I would love to hear from you. King Regards Jayne
