He Married Alice Jackson, 4 May 1878 in the Parish Church Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire County, England. A Kate TURNER witnessed the marriage and he & his father William TURNER was listed as both Tin Plate Worker.William & Alice had six children born in England. A son born William TURNER 9 April 1890 Ashton under Lyne , daughters Elizabeth TURNER (born 18 Dec. 1883)Violet,Maria,Alice (1894) all born 46 Oldham Road ,Ashton U Lyne. Their first born Annie TURNER (1879 Stalybridge). All came to the USA in 1910 except Annie TURNER who married a Britton. We are interested in the parents of William TURNER born in Manchester and the earlier years of the TURNER's in England. The 1855 born Wm TURNER use to race pigeons in England. His parents were William Turner and Rhoda/Roda Ann Brewer (called Annie) Grover was married twice #1 Lydia Penick, they had 1 child,Nora. #2 Nora Mae Steers, they had 3 children, Louise Turner Springate, Dorothy Turner Maupin and Edith Turner Bradshaw(Edith died in early 30's. JAMES HAWLEY TURNER (b. 1793 VA) migrated from Loudoun Co., VA to Guernsey Co., OH about 1818. He married MARY HOLLER. Their children were: FIELDING (1820), ELSA (1823), SARAH M. (1827), MARTHA (1835), and WILLIAM H. (b. ?). James Hawley Turner served in the War of 1812. He died in 1864. I am seeking further info. on this family. Even if it is from your sister or best friend, be sure that s/he intended to send that particular attachment - her/his computer could be infected, and unknowingly be sending you a worm. For the next couple of weeks (at least), I advise that you do not open ANY attachments that end in .exe, - no matter who they are from, or what they claim to be - that attachment that looks to be and says it is a Holiday card could very well be a worm.
