    3. We lived in Key West for 26 months when my husband was stationed there. Loved the weather. We have 106 here today. To hot to be outside. I have heard that Turners are like Smith, just tons of them everywhere. My Batty's are the same way. Very common names. Batty's are mostly in Leeds. I have no idea who my Gene and Aggie are related to. Quite a puzzle. 3. There is some connection between the Turners and the Turks. Two of the male Turks lived at 500 Washington Blvd and my Turners lived at 522 Washington Blvd. Too close to be chance. My Turners worked for Leahy & Co, Chicago. This family of Turners are the only ones I have any information about. I wish I could help with the searches we all have on here, but have limited info. 3. Hi Emma, my Turners are supposed to have been french canadian, but no proof. Agnes M. O'Brien may have been born in Toronto, Canada. Again, no proof. Gene and Aggie married 31 May 1883 in Chicago and I believe my grandmother was born there as her parents lived and worked there. Sorry to say I don't know of James Turner. What state was he in? Mine were all Illinois and Wisconsin. 3. Thanks Sarah, It has never occurred to me to look in Missouri. I have focused on Illinois and Wisconsin. Doesn't Family Tree Legends have to update their data once in a while? Isn't there a magazine by the same name? What you found, birth, m, death or what? What struck me most is the name Anderson. The reason for that is that Alfred Anderson was in the same orphanage as Antoinette and he changed his name to Albert Turk while Antoinette had a change of name by her foster parents to Jeanette Irene Turk. Albert was fostered by Willis Turk, brother to my Antoinettes foster parents and Albert and Antoinette were both baptized in 1893 in Black Earth, Wis. thus tying the Anderson name to both of them. Is this thinking straight? Makes me wonder if Electra married an Anderson or what. So many unanswered questions on my Turner family. I copied the list you had online and have to sit down and see if there is any connection that is obvious or will have to be researched more. Where are you? I am in Nevada. I sure enjoy sharing information with others and have found several cousins by doing so. None were Turners though. They have been along my Batty, Copley, Gorst, Orcutt, Binks, Bywater, Delamater lines. Do you have any of those names you are researching? Oh yes and my Ludden line too. 1. Thomas Turner KY>AL>MS 1801-1848
    2. Ron Turner
    3. I’m looking for anyone researching the family of Thomas Turner. He was born abt. 1801 in KY and died abt. 1848 in Itawamba Co., MS. He married Libby abt. 1823 in KY. She was born 1803 in AL. Thomas was in Marion Co., AL, in 1830 and in Itawamba Co., MS, in 1840. Known children are: Elijah T. Turner, b. 1824, AL (he is the head of household in the 1850 Itawamba Co., MS, census) Girl Turner, b. 1826. John L. Turner, b. 1828 Karin Turner, b 1829, AL Malissa Ann Turner, b. 1832, AL, and married Bedford F. Wade on 17 Apr 1853, Itawamba Co., MS. Samuel Turner, b. 1834, AL. Mary Turner, b. 1837, AL. Mathias C. Turner, b. 1839, MS. I’m trying to find a connection between Thomas Turner and my gg-grandfather Lorenzo Dow Turner. Lorenzo was born in 1806 in Warren Co., KY. He was in Marion Co., AL, and then Itawamba Co., MS, at the same time as Thomas. Lorenzo and his wife Judah McDonald lived their remaining lives in Itawamba Co., MS. Additionally, Elijah Turner, b. 1796, KY, made the same move to Marion Co. and died there abt. 1838. His widow, Unity S. McDonald Turner, was in Monroe Co., MS, in 1850. Judah McDonald and Unity McDonald were sisters. We continue to attempt to prove the relationship between Elijah, Thomas, and Lorenzo. Recent results for Y-DNA testing proves that descendents of both Elijah and Lorenzo have a common ancestor. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
