Dora, and list.... The Turner men you seek, James, et al appear in many Turner families though apparently unrelated to each other. Could you give us more specifics, please? I have 4 John Turners who are related, 2 James Turners who are related, etc. Turner families throughout the U.S. in colonial times and now seem to have followed the same naming patterns, related or not. Are you seeking James Turner in VA, NC or SC? I have some in VA and some in SC, none in NC. I have some Thomas Turners in MA but none in VA nor NC for instance. Thanks Ila

Miles TURNER born 20 Nov 1785 & Hannah COLE m. 28 May 1820. They lived in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence Co., NY and likely died in the Dekalb, St. Lawrence, NY vicinity. Miles TURNER was the son of Samuel TURNER b. 1749 and Sarah FENTON married 29 Jan 1778 in Williamsburg, Hampshire Co., MA. Grandparents were Samuel TURNER & Mary STOCKER from Guilford, New Haven, CT and Tinmouth, Rutland, VT. I am trying to determine the parents for Hannah COLE and Sarah FENTON and miscellaneous dates and places for members of these families. I have some information on descendants that I can share with interested researchers. Margaret Scheffler

Thanks to those that responded to my question. Just thought it might be an easier way of doing a paternity test and maybe cheaper. However I guess one would really have to check around for the clinic's reputation. Thanks again to all. God Bless Pam
Some Turners in New York migrating to Virginia were formerly Tourneur and Tourner. The Tourner/Tourneur family was Huguenot from France. -jb
