    2. This is a message from the mother of Margaret Tunison Moody. Margaret died on April 4, 2002. From: HTuni48153 To: Metunison I need to let you know about Margaret. She lost both legs last year. She has had a very rough time of it and has been in a great deal of pain most of the time. She had a great deal of trouble getting into and out of her wheelchair and her bed. The last week she could not do this and had to have assistance. I prayed to God to help her. Yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly, she passed away. I guess that was His solution. I know she is at peace and out of pain, but it is hard. Margaret was 47. Margaret's mother, Hilda And my reply to Hilda: Dear Hilda, I am so sorry for you, but I agree with you that one must be comforted knowing that she is at peace and free of pain. I know how hard it is for you. Her life was short and too full of trouble. We all would have wished for something different for her. I am grateful that I had as much time as I did to get to know her. She had many wonderful qualities, was a very loving person, and inspired so many of us in our search for family ties. You have my sincere sympathy. I know how good you were to her and how much you meant to her. With love, Miriam Tunison in Rockford, IL And a further word from me: Margaret's screen name was "Cremedrop." She was the first person to introduce me to exploration of family history by way of the Internet. She lived in South Carolina and wrote to me years ago, asking me to write her back. We had an extensive correspondence until her health problems overcame her. She introduced me to the research of Randy Mortimer and Dick Tunison and many others. I have special feelings for her because she really helped me to uncover the mysteries of my heritage and of cyberspace. She worked hard to rise above great disappointments and overwhelming health problems. Now her suffering is over, and I am grateful for that. She was a truly remarkable person.

    3. I am looking for ancestors/relatives who descended from Mary Hobbs Tunison in the Longview area of Washington state. Mary was the sister of our beloved "Little Grandma", Mary Drucilla Hobbs Germond (bn. Nov. 19, 1852 - Virginia). I have found traces of an Anna E. Hobbs which may have been mother or sister to these two Hobbs sisters. Our families were in touch within my memory, but have lost contact through the years. Eldora Bennet, Kelso area, was one of two daughters of Mary Tunison. Mary used to visit here, in Oregon, bringing her son. Mary Tunison has/had a grandson named Edd Jackques (Jacques?). I would love to get in touch with anyone knowing anything about any of these people. Thank you. Paula Germond Get 250 color business cards for FREE! http://businesscards.lycos.com/vp/fastpath/

    2. I have lost contact with Earl Pantier who is researching Garrett Monroe Tunsion born 18 Jan 1849. I have Earl's email at EPantier@compuserve.com - but this is apparently not a current valid email. If anyone has a newer email address for Earl, would you please have him contact a fellow Tunison researcher! Thanks in advance, Shari Wisconsin

    3. Douglas Quackenbush, Thank you for taking the time to look through your records....I'm hoping she'll turn up somewhere....I don't think the surname "Tunison" is very common, and so, she must fit in somewhere....Will be in Columbus, OH in a couple of weeks, hope to visit the Historical Society while there and do a bit more digging....will let the list know if I find something.... Does anyone have any request while I'm there. I don't know how much time I'll have, but if anyone wants me to look something up, will do what I can until I run out of time... 2. Earl, How nice to met you! You are the second person I have met who descends from Garret Monroe. I just met Cheryl, but she had to go off line for about a week so we have not had the chance to exchange information yet. I descend as follows: Garrett B and Prudance Tunison Isaac Tunison William Tunison Marjorie Tunison Chester Gleason (my father) I have been most successful using the internet to find information and connect with other descendants. I have received photos of Garret's and Prudence's grave site in Sarpy County, Nebraska. I also took photos from Warren Mills Cemetery, Monroe County, WI this past fall. Would you like me to email you copies of these photos? I am in still in process of compiling information but am willing to share what little I have. Most of what I have so far is just census information and a couple of photos. I do have a mini GedCom file which I could send you, also. Do you have any photos you would be willing to share? Could you outline what information you have? I would love to share information with you! What state are you in? I have located descendants in Arizona, California, Utah, Washington so far. Have you been to the Garret and Prudance Family Bible pages which I have posted to the internet? The address is: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sbosmans/tunison/index.html I wait to here from you! Shari Wisconsin, USA << Shari. 2. I hope I sent this back in August, however that was when I had my surgery. I was not on my PC for several days. If I did not then please please forgive me, I was under a great deal of stress. I hate hospitals anyway, and to be having another surgery. I will try to make sure I get things out in a timely manor in the future. So for now, have a very safe Friday the 13th. I plan on staying in bed and not leaving my house for any reason.. So TTFN Could you relay this to the Tunison mailing list? http://www.tunison.net/domain-info.html John Tunison - ----------------------------------- nosinut@cmu.edu || john@tunison.net http://www.tunison.net Margaret Tunison Moody aka Cremedrop the one and only TUNISON HUNTER!!!! 1. [TUNISON-L] Looking for Frank Tunison of Dayton
    2. jnicholls
    3. Dear list members, I am a television producer at The Newseum, a museum of news in the Washington area. I am working a piece that involves news coverage of the Wright brothers first flight. Frank Tunison, wire editor of the Dayton Daily Journal in 1903 is involved in the story. I really need a photograph of Frank for my project. If you have any information that might allow me to contact any of Frank's descendants or other relatives, I would be very grateful. Thank you for any assistance you can offer. Jason Nicholls The Newseum Arlington, Virginia (703) 253-7131
