Hi Listers, My Nathan Tucker was born in SC to John Tucker (who was born in England). Nathan had a brother, Joseph. I have been trying to make a connection via naming pattern with a Nathan Tucker as well as a Joseph Tucker in previous generations. John's first born son was Nathan, which according to naming patterns of the era, should have been named after John's father, who was probably Nathan. John's second born son was named Joseph, but I think the second born son was generally named for the wife's father, which in this case, would have been true. The next 2 generations were named Joseph. I know this is speculation, but this is what a good detective does. Does anyone have a Nathan Tucker who was born in England about 1800-1816? James
