Chris, You are certainly NOT butting in and it is great to have the information that you submitted. What is the source for the names of his children? (estate settlement or Bible). I know that the George of the Bute Co. NC will doesn't name his elder children in his will and the name of the wife in the will was Jemima. There was a George Tucker Jr. (son of "Cabarrus George") whose wife was named Margaret in the will and he had daughters named Margaret and Alcie (so some such spelling---I think the name was probably Alice and the spelling was corrupted) and he also had a son named Thomas (I think---would have to check). But, the bottom line is that there were several George Tuckers in this vicinity at the same time and they all seemed to migrate in the same direction (ie. to middle TN and some on into AR, IN and IL). It is really difficult to sort them out. So, it helps to have the names of the children in order to sort out this large group of Tuckers. Thanks so much!!
