    3. I married into Mass/RI Tuckers (Morris' line). The ears seem normal to me. And isn't hair loss a maternally inherited thing? That is, men's hair (loss or retention) follows the maternal grandfather's pattern???? Now.....how about personality traits? My Tuckers tend to have a strong work ethic and a streak of stubbornness..... Carrie Tucker list moderator

    3. My grandmother was Minne Lee Tucker and she married William Henry Hardwick. Stubborness? Oh yeah! But I can't tell if I got it from the Tuckers or the Hardwicks orrrr the Butler and Haynes side of the family :) We know that large ears come from our Butlers and now you're telling me we also get them from the Tuckers. What's a child to do? A few of you have mentioned Tucker noses, well if we blend the Butler with the Tucker, yipes! We'd have a no holds barred Jimmy Durante! My Haynes grandmother was a 'Missouri Mule' and if the Tuckers are as stubborn as she was our country is in good standing because nobody in their right minds would mess with these Americans! I saw a bumper sticker the other day and it read,"THESE COLORS DON'T RUN. NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL." That is the philosophy I have been raised with. It was taught to my parents who taught it to me. And I am teaching it to my children. My grandmother Minnie Lee Tucker had sandy brown hair with auburn highlights. She had descent sized ears and was a worker by any means. She had 10 children of which my mother is 2nd youngest. She had twins-Hulan and Harland Hardwick who died at about age 12. One of which was blind. Thinner hair seems to run in the family. I met alot of my Hardwick cousins a few years ago and one cousin, was a large man of goodly stature , blond hair, hazel green eyes and strawberry blond complexion. He must have stood about 6'5" tall. His 2 sisters were of similar complexion and coloring. One was rather tall and the other was about 5'2-3" tall. Sweet people. Diabetes seems to run in our family. I wish I could tell you more about the Tuckers but I am learning about them myself. It is fun to share this knowledge with you. Thanks for sharing yours with me. carol [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: Carrie Tucker <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, January 11, 2002 4:39 PM Subject: FW: [TUCKER-L] ears and hair > > > I married into Mass/RI Tuckers (Morris' line). 3. Carrie, are you from the Morris/Stevens line or the Morris/Gill line? I'm from the Morris/Stevens line and I think most of the were Introverts, any way most of the Tuckers I know never talked about the family, were stubborn, strong work ethics, and still have large families for the times-4 or more children. We most have brown hair/blue eyes but have some red shading in the hair, ears and noses are pretty normal, hair lines recede but no baldness. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carrie Tucker" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, January 11, 2002 5:39 PM Subject: FW: [TUCKER-L] ears and hair > > > I married into Mass/RI Tuckers (Morris' line). 3. We always say we tend to beat the mule and the brick wall in being stubborn! We also have the strong work ethic in my line.
