Well ! Hello Mary - this is interesting. Speaking of Tuckers ......I saw an earlier post of yours regarding a Nancy Leverett m Bartlett Tucker. I sent an email message to the list with my remarks addressed to you (I thought <g> ). I have tried to find it in one of my email folders - no luck ! If memory serves me correctly, the earlier message was on the Tuckers@yahoo mail list. Is this Bartlett Tucker part of your Tucker line? My husband's direct maternal Tucker line is from Andrew & Sallie Hart Tucker of Jefferson Co., AL. His paternal Tucker line is from George Tucker, Sr., Patriot (1745VA-1853AL), wife Rebecca Leverett ! I descend from Chesley Leverett who is a brother to Nancy Leverett (1791-1857) who may have married Bartlett Tucker. Nancy Tucker is buried in the Old Leverett Graveyard near Iva, Anderson Co., SC. I have no solid evidence of this marriage - do you? I have a copy of Bartlett's will, etc. with Nancy named as the wife. But no marriage record. Charlotte -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.
