Hello everyone, As you can see in my subject line, my Tuckers REALLY got around. My oldest known TUCKER ancestor is Aaron TUCKER. He was born circa 1768 in MARYLAND. Thus far, I haven't found proof of his parents or siblings. I feel positive that Andrew TUCKER who was with him in Rowan Co. NC and signed several documents with him was his brother. I also believe that he had a brother named John and one named James and a sister named Mary (married Israel WATKINS). Israel was involved in land transactions with Andrew in Rowan Co. as a co-owner of the land. I believe that this suggests a family link. And, Israel WATKINS married a Mary TUCKER. I don't know for sure though if her era is right for her to be a sister. She may have been related in quite a different way??? I have spent a great deal of time researching Maryland Tuckers and North Carolina Tuckers. But, I haven't found anything that points directly to a parent for Aaron. Maybe someone else has been more successful? I am now trying to convince a male TUCKER family memeber, from my line, to submit to a Y-DNA testing to see which line our clan connects to. This is a "desperate" effort to try to claim Aaron's family for him :) This doesn't mean that we won't have to do regular research. It just means that, hopefully, we won't be "chasing rabbits" down the wrong trail. I would like to hear from anyone having MD or Rowan Co. NC (or that area--ie.
