Am searching for the family of gggrandfather SILAS B. TUCKER, born July 27, 1800 in Tennessee and died June 27, 1863 in Smyrna, Rutherford County, TN. He was married to MALISSA ASCENITH BOWMAN on October 14, 1829 in Rutherford County, Tennessee. They had two children: SUSAN M. TUCKER born 1831 & my grandmother, CAROLINE (CARRIE) ALMIRA TUCKER born December 14, 1809. After Malissa's death on April 22, 1833, Silas was married two more times. Family information gives his father as WILLIAM TUCKER, whose probable birthplace was North Carolina & who died on the Natchez Trace, Mississippi abt. 1815. (There's that name of William again!) His mother was SUSANNAH HAMPTON of South Carolina. Not much to go on. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone out there? Harriet Darling
