My gg-grandfather, John Tucker, (born 3 Apr 1836)departed London and arrived in New York 1 Nov 1851. From here he wound up in South Carolina where he married a Mary Jane Todd. They had 2 children, Joseph and Nathan (my g-grandfather). I am having trouble finding other Tuckers in the US who are related, even though I know they are out there. It seems like most of the Tuckers came over earlier. Just thought I would cast my needle into the haystack to see if someone can enlighten me! I have managed to find burial sites for both g and gg grandparents in SC, but I am having trouble finding a record of their marriage, their obituaries, and other documents. I am new at this. Hello. In going thru my ei-mails I see you have a John Tucker coming from England. I, too, am looking for a GGGGrandfather from England. His son, Edward Sherrod was born 1777 and, undoutedly had siblings. These Tuckers are hard to make connections with as everyone named their children the same names, just birth dates show you have the right one. I you have a Edward Sherrod in your line, would appreciate talking to you.
