Pat, I have Tuckers that came from NC, to Indiana then Iowa, briefly in Illinois and then settled in Harrison County, MO before 1850. This Tucker was Thomas Tucker and he died in MO in 1872, his wife Elizabeth (Ray) Tucker died in Harrison Co, Mo in 1883. Thomas & Elizabeth had sons: James Gaddis Tucker, John T Tucker & Silas Tucker plus others. Elizabeth & Thomas also had daughters who married men with the surnames of Roberts & Huddleston. There were other daughters, but I have not attempted to find more on this branch. My GG Grandfather was also a Thomas Tucker and a nephew of the Missouri Thomas Tucker. They both came to Iowa in the 1830's. My Thomas stayed, the other Thomas moved on to IL then MO This MO Tucker's father was also an Thomas and he was a Rev War Vet. If you think these may be your line they should not be hard to trace back to.
