Mary Ann V. Doyle 1867 Perry Co TN 1789 Clinton was a Methodist Episcopal Preacher. He was a circuit rider in NC, then was moved to Limestone Co AL. From there he went Warren Co TN. where he settled at Mt Vernon Methodist church in the western part of Warren Co. I have documentation of this from church records and publications. He is on the 1820 Census in Lincoln Co NC, 1830 Census in Limestone Co AL, 1850 Census in Warren Co TN and the 1870 Census in Warren Co TN . He died about 1872. I have more details, to much to write now but have hit the high spots. Clinton Monroe was my ggrandfather and is supposed to be Native American, at least half. But have no proof of this.
