I wrote her about your query in case shed rather contact you herself but she said to feel free to share with you. Someone advise me; always hate to see correspondence go offline from a board as others could also benefit, but not sure how lengthy a post we should place at one time. Feel free to contact me. George Tucker looks to be the oldest of 10 children from what is here; he was born 3/10 1810 to Simeon & Nancy Dunn Tucker. 5. SIMEON3 TUCKER (GEORGE2, THOMAS1) was born Abt. 1786 in WIlkes County, GA, and died November 07, 1856 in Neshoba County, MS. He married (1) NANCY DUNN February 04, 1808 in Baldwin County, GA. She was born Abt. 1790 in NC, and died Abt. 1883 in Leake County, MS. He married (2) NANCY DUNN February 04, 1808 in Baldwin County, GA. At least 4 of Simeons children including George (Wm. L., Simeon J. and another for sure) went to Upshur Co, TX from what I understand. They migrated to TX in the 1850s. I was concentrating on George since my ancestor was a Geo and this one could be an appropriate age to be his father. I then found him as a Geo. Washington Sr., first with a birthdate of 1809 in Washington, Wilkes Co, GA; died 12/28 1880 and is buried in the Simpsonville Cemetery in Upshur Co. Carol confirmed this is where some of her line is buried including their George. His spouse is listed as Lucinda Jones 11/13 1830(marriage) Maplesville, Bibb Co, AL. The next reference I found does lists Geo as being the son of Simeon & Nancy. Then found Simeons son Wm L. & wife Elizabeth in Upshur Co 1880 census 3 residences from my Geo D. and keeps me thinking they were connected. J.M. is James Madison, born July 7, 1820, m. Amy Hart, died Feb. 21, 1898. He is buried in Simpsonville Cemetery. Feel free to contact me and will share the file shared with me. Then if it's what you want you can see if you can find the book for sale, or copy the pages that are of interest to you. Hope this helps you. There must have been family story about it. I tried attaching to a previous message a picture of my gg grandmother, Julia Delaney Tucker, at a young age (20's maybe) and it has been said she looks like she could have had Indian features?? The message did not post with the picture. My gg grandfather, Mason Samuel Tucker, Julia's husband, and family came from NY or Canada and traveled to WI in the late 1860's and one of the great grand uncles went to Lawrenceburg, TN about 1906 and died there on May 12, 1907. I've wondered if he went there because there were other Tucker relation living there. I understand that the Lawrenceburg newspapers from 1906 and 1907 were lost. I tried to find out if there was some newsworthy event as to why Charles Samuel Tucker died there. Does anyone have Tuckers from Lawrenceburg, Lawrence Co., TN? Jeremiah Tucker Married Operah Kay in Mason co Kentucky and had at least 2 children there. Then they moved to Putman co Indiana were several more children were born. Jeremiah is burried in Clay co Louisville ILL. I think that Johnathan was his father but cant prove it. Jeremiah had a son Jeremiah, who Married Elizabeth Blair Daughter of Robert Blair and Martha Banks .Elizabeth and Jeremiah had 3 sons the youngest died young that was Joseph and the other two Stephen and Robert moved to Wisconsin.Elizabeth remarried a Stroud this is were I lost her. Becouse of her age they may be children there. Now here is another thought to ponder there was a Chase Tucker who is listed as a Indian agent for the Indian tribe Shawnee in the Ohio Valley and the Great Lakes area. He is written in great length in many of the Draper papers. Who is this man does anyone know? Drapper states that he lived among them and was greatly respected by no other than Tecumseh him self. Have you found him in the 1850 census? What other Tucker Families are near him? Any clues to his parentage. I'm not a descendant, just an interested Tucker Researcher. Brad, I found Achellis (aka "Kellis") in the 1860 VA Census Kanawha County. I cannot find him in 1850. In the 1870 WV Census Kanawha County, there is a Calvin Tucker listed with Achellis' wife and children. Calvin could really be Achellis, the age is off by 2 years, which isn't always a big deal with the census records. But what confuses me is that there appears to be another family living with them. There aren't anymore adults listed, but many children. One of the children is listed as "M" for mulatto, and five children listed as black. Also, there happens to be a couple of Calvin Tuckers in that area so I'm still trying to sort them all out. In the 1880 (WV, Kanawha County) census, he's listed as Kellis. The last census he appears in is 1900. There are other Tucker families around him. I also found an older Achellis Tucker in the census, can't remember which year, at the moment. More than likely it's his father, but I try not to assume things until I have proof. :-) Anyway, this is the line that makes me crazy...
