I also have heard that "somewhere" in my Tucker ancestry is perhaps some pre-european, North American ancestry. Can't proove it though. However, My Uncle's wife asked me to check on her family as she didn't know anything about them and BINGO, found out that she was! Had a terrible time finding them in the 1900 census, until I decided to check for pages out of order and on THE next page was an "Indian census" page with her father and his parents.... gave the percent Indian and the tribe, Stockbrige. Great for them! Still no help on the Tucker family. I also think that it is a requirement for every Tucker family to have a George W Tucker. My Great Grandfather is George Washington Tucker born Athens Co OH and died in Forest Co Wisc. One of many.... A jest I heard once is that Virginia produce two exports a plenty in colonial times, Tobacco and Tuckers!!! Brad
