I have just discovered that George D Tucker, my gggrandfather lived in Upshur Co after the Civil War. Have additional info on him. His father (name unk) brought Geo D to Tx around 1835 to Harrison Co. Geo D enlisted in 7th Tx Inf from Harrison Co and survived the entire war. Move to Upshur after war. Moved to Kaufman Co to live with his son William A in late 1890's. Enter Confederate Home in Austin in Oct 1900 and died there Dec 28, 1900. Buried in State Cemetery in Austin. Please share your info.
