Hi Listers, Everyone seems to be posting their brick walls, so I am hoping some of you can help me. My difficulty is with John Tucker, born 3 April 1836 in England. I am not sure who his parents were or where he was from in England, but the history I have been able to piece together shows that he enlisted in the Confederacy in Britton's Neck, SC, in 1861. He married Sarah Jane Tindal from Marion District, SC. Their first daughter, Mary Comella Tucker was born in 1863 and Rebecca Jane Tucker was born in 1868. Sarah Jane Died in 1872. I located Sarah Jane with her parents in the 1860 Marion Census, but I have never been able to locate John Tucker in an 1860 or 1870 Census. I did find him in the 1880 Horry County, SC Census with wife #2, Mary Jane Todd, and their two sons, Nathan Claude Tucker and Joseph Rollins Tucker. I found that John was buried in Conway, SC. If you have Tucker family in SC, please check to see if you can locate a John Tucker born in 1836 in England, or if you have any suggestions for me, please advise. Many thanks. Jeannie
