    1. Re: [TUCKER-L] Tucker Reunion: Mother's Day, May 12, 2002 at Fairview Church...
    2. W.T. Welch
    3. Good evening, I'm not able to go back any farther than William Tucker and his 2nd wife, Jemima Lewis. They lived in New Hanover Co., NC. I found legel papers in a book on Sampson & Duplin Counties Genealogy, dated 1792-1809 where William had handled land deals with several people, I don't know if he might have been a lawyer or a land agent. I don't have their children except for Hiram and Ira Tucker. Hiram & Ira Tucker brought their families to Alabama ca 1821 and settled in what was Pike Co. but later became a part of Crenshaw Co. when it was formed in 1866. Ira J. Tucker, one of Hiram's sons, gave the land for Fairview Church to be used as a place of worship and schooling in the mid 1800's. He was my Grandmother's father by his 2nd wife. I wish I could help you but I don't have any information beyond William Tucker. Hiram's wife was a Hendry and I can go to the Mayflower with her. Wynnette Mrs Welch, My name is Joan Tucker Adkins and I live in Kansas. I have been trying to find someone with knowledge of my GGGF Henry H Tucker. He was born in Kentucky 8 Jan 1808 and md Abiel Malinda Parkhurst, at Carmi, White Co., Ill on 18 Dec 1827. I am trying to identify who his parents and siblings were. My relatives think our family came from the Norfolk, Va. area. One of his children had the name of James Portlock Tucker. Henry's wife was from the Carthage, Smith Co., Tn area. Could you please help me. Any information would be wonderful. Henry raised most of his family in the Effingham, Ill area. Thank you so much for your time. I would like to go to a family reunion if I only knew who my family was. Joan [email protected]
