Mary, Two of my grandfather's sisters married POTTS. His sister, Jane Tucker, married Charles Alonzo POTTS and his sister, Belle Tucker, married Lew Lemard POTTS. Also, my grandfather's first cousin, Emma Tucker married their brother Benjamin POTTS. These three POTTS brothers were the sons of Isaac Joshua POTTS and Theresa PANKEY. Joshua POTTS was the son of I.J.POTTS Sr., and Patsy Ann THOMPSON. It is also interesting to note that the POTTS family settled in southern IL in the same area as my Tuckers. I feel sure that George W. Tucker was somehow connected to my Aaron Tucker and that is why Aaron was in White County, TN in 1825. There was also a Stephen Tucker there at the same time. There are two Aarons listed, but I really think that this was just an error by the one who was assessing the taxes and perhaps Aaron was counted twice???? I wish we knew more about this George W. Tucker and his wife. I also know that this family was connected to the DAVIS family as well as the FRAZIERS. They are buried in the FRAZIER cemetery. Do you have the names of the Tuckers who were in White County at the same time as George W. Tucker? I know that tax lists and census records sometimes missed families completely. Have you found a lot of Tuckers in the land records (other than those that are attributed to George W. as his children)? Joan, Something is wrong with my Tucker List mail. I'm not getting any! I sometimes find a few in my deleted Items folder unopened. I haven't blocked it so I don't know what's up with it. This is a test...
