I have been trying to trace my g.grandmother/g.grandfather. I have been successful in tracing roots for my g.grandfather back to 1725, Essex, England.... however, my g.grandmother eludes me. Any and all assistance would be appreciated. I am 99% sure that this is my g.grandmother. The birthdate of May 1872 matches a 1900 Salt Lake City census found for my g.grandmother/g.grandfather. She married my g.grandfather William EVE. Mary Louisa TUCKER born: 25 May 1872 Dartmouth, Devon, England married: William George EVE I also found this marriage record. They migrated separately, and were married in Salt Lake City, UT. So this is how I'm sure it must be her. Mary Louisa TUCKER Married: William G EVE 22 Sep 1896, Salt Lake, Utah But here's the mystery to me. I found another record showing Mary Louisa TUCKER's birthdate that named her parents as Samuel TUCKER and Margaret QUICK. Although it's the same birthdate, the birthplace Darmouth vs. Stoke Fleming, is different. Mary Louisa TUCKER Birth: 25 May 1872 Stoke Fleming, Devon, England Father: Samuel TUCKER Mother: Margaret QUICK And then I found a marriage record of Samuel and Margaret, but if this is correct, they were married almost 30 years before Mary Louisa TUCKER was born!! That can't be right. Samuel TUCKER Married: Margaret QUICK--- 24 Oct 1844 Stoke Fleming, Devon, England But this is all I can find about the TUCKER side. Is there a census or something that can be looked at for around the time Mary Louisa TUCKER was born, 1872? Also, I know that my g.grandmother went by the name of Lucy, so I don't know if that would be of help. (Although I don't know when she started using that name. It was, however, on the 1900 Salt Lake City census). Thank you for any support. /lisa
