I have a James Tucker, b 1830 or 1833. Have no idea who his family is. He supposedly came to Fl from Ky and supposedly is Irish or Scottish. From 1855 he lived in Fl until his death in the 1880's. He had one known sister, Catherine, who also moved to Fl. There is a connection to the name Delaney as a cousin. Do not know if that is a given or surname. He named one of his sons Delaney after this cousin. There is a James Tucker in Campbell County Ky on the 1850 census living in a household with 2 others, amid other surrounding households from Ireland. In the early 1980's, according to a genealogist, this particular household had not been identified with any other Tucker families. Possibly by now it has. Can anyone shed any light?
