Also the Wm Rippeto he sold the slave to was living NEXT door to Caswell Tucker in the 1830 Bledsoe Co TN census where another Wm Tucker b. abt 1800 -1810 was listed in Dist. 3, 9 doors away from Caswell also on pg.275. Elijah Tucker, b. 1796 in Stokes Co NC was listed a few doors away on pg. 276. I am convinced these 3 were brothers. Since I live in this same community I know that this was on the Cumberland Mt. near the present day Cumberland Co TN line. The Tuckers of White Co were also on the Cumberland Mt. near the White Co line. As the crow flies this abt 10 miles. Too close for there not to be a connection between all these Tuckers. There was a Clinton Tucker b. abt 1789 NC who is listed in the 1850 Census, Warren Co., TN. He was in the 1830 Census, Lincoln Co., NC. I have tried to find out without success just WHERE in Warren Co he lived. If it was in the northern part then he was ALSO on the Cumberland Mt.!! Could Wm C. Tucker mentioned in 1813 be Wm Clinton Tucker?? Clinton had a son Clinton Monroe b. 1839 Warren Co. TN, d 1906 Franklin Co TN. m. 1867 Perry Co TN Mary Ann V. Wm was born ca 1835, probably in Franklin Co, IL... he married Mary Elizabeth Binion 3 Apr 1866 in Franklin County. He died ca 1886 in Montague County, TX. I believe that John came to IL from NC or SC via TN. No solid information on that... but he was born ca 1808 and died 31 Jan 1870. He married Elizabeth Ann Rea 17 Sep 1830 in Franklin Co. Other known or suspected children of John and Elizabeth: Nancy Jane Tucker (ca 1830), George Washington Tucker (ca 1832, m Elizabeth Robinson), and an unknown male born ca 1832. The Carroll name carries so far down my line I can't believe it was just a habit...
