Dolores, I saw your post on the Turner name.My Pascal Tucker born 1824 had from his second marriage a son Turner Francis Tucker. His mother divorced Pascal when he was small .He was born about 1866-1868 We all think this is odd because there were no Turners in our family that we know of. He moved away to some say KY or MO .Then when he was dying of TB he came home to his father Pascal and was buried in Weakley Co TN.He had left his wife and kids somewhere. You didn't mention dates but do you think this fits in somewhere? Pat
Another Tucker-Turner connection. My gg grandfather, Daniel Peterson Tucker had a son named John O.A. Tucker. John O.A. married his second wife, Annie E. Turner in 1868. In 1869 they moved to Smith County, TX. The 1870 Census shows two Turner children living with John O.A.,s family: William Turner, 10, born AL; Elizabeth, 9, born AL; I don't know if the marriage of Annie Turner to James O.A. was a first marriage or a second for Annie, nor whether Turner was her maiden name or the name of a first husband. I assume that the 1870 Turner children were from a prior marriage of Annie Turner, but don't really know. They could have been children of her siblings, I suppose. Annie Turner had two children by John O.A. Tucker: James H. "Buddy" Tucker (b. 1869, AL), and Beulah Tucker(b. ca 1872, presumably in Texas). Annie Turner was born about 1834 in GA, died 1905 in Lindale, TX, where she is buried. This probably has no bearing on your discussion, just a bit of information to whom it may concern. -----Original Message----- From: pat [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, March 19, 2002 9:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [TUCKER-L] Re: TUCKER-D Digest V02 #52 Dolores, I saw your post on the Turner name.My Pascal Tucker born 1824 had from his second marriage a son Turner Francis Tucker. His mother divorced Pascal when he was small .He was born about 1866-1868 We all think this is odd because there were no Turners in our family that we know of.
