I also have a War of 1812 Declaration of Soldier For Pension I sent for on the John Tucker who drew the land in Monroe Co. He was 80 years old in April 1871 when he applied. He married Mary Clay the 5th of May,1817 in JASPER CO. Ga. but was living in CHAMBERS CO. whenthe application was written. He was in Capt. John Reeds Co. and discharged 1814 near Darrien Ga. There is an Aaron Tucker who received a land lottery in 1838 in Georgia. This was in the 17th District. Does anyone have any idea where this would have been located? And, does anyone have any information on this Aaron Tucker. His listing number was #300 and also listed beside his name was "Stricklands" and "Merriwether". Were they neighbors perhaps or co-owners? This, I am told was a Cherokee Land Lottery. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Joan _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ==== TUCKER Mailing List ==== REMEMBER: Quote only the relative part of the message you are replying to, not the entire message.
