Hmm probably not. I just sent a message to Barbara, (Let me know if it does not show up on your computer roots list) and listed his wife's name, it was Nancy Dealy born 22 Sept.18 22. Trouble is I have no information as of from where. If you can't see my message to Barbara I will send it to you as well. My line has all but Tuckered out, as my father, his father and the father before that are all single boys born into there family. Thus it has been hard to find any connection. Thank you Barbara, for your attempt to connect. After replying to you I went and dug out my information for more exact information, such as I have. My William Tucker's mother was Ann Cave, believed to have been born in 1788 where unknown. His father's name was unknown. My William Tucker was born 16 Feb 1813 where unknown, he was married 26 March 1839. His wife was Nancy Dealy, born 22 Sept 1822, and was a 'Twin". Her father was David Dealy, from Ireland. Her mother was, Rebecca Mills, from Wales. Yes sadly it does look like there is no chance for any connection. I have not really been able to find where they came from, other then they left for the west from Missouri. Most of my information has been from members of the family prior to their death. The trail for me is running very thin, thus I keep looking for a connection. Again Thank you and best wishes Leonard ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara owsley" <robbar417@msn.com> To: <tucker@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 16, 2007 6:12 PM Subject: Re: [TUCKER] TUCKER Digest, Vol 2, Issue 9 > Sorry, your other names do not ring a bell. Are your Tucker's from there, if so we have them from the early 1800's? The Townsley line and Tucker line are m. to each other my wife is a Townsley, out of James Jefferson Townsley who m. Lucinda Ellen Tucker. Albert Kirkland
Leonard Was your William from Adair Co. Ky and was his wifes name Martha Ballinger? If so then I believe you may be related to me. Sorry, your other names do not ring a bell. Great grand mother was Mattie Stewart and married William Tucker. My grandmother's grandfather, Francis Stewart, Mattie's father, was Dr. Francis Stewart who practiced medicine in Lincoln County Arkansas. To my knowledge, none of my Tuckers went west, unless it was some of the younger generation. William Tucker could have had the middle initial I. I found him once in the state of Georgia, but that was the only thing I was able to find. Were your kin from Arkansas? Hmm, Hello, I would like more information concerning your William Tucker. My line of Tuckers has stopped going back wards with a William Tucker. My Tucker line wound up in Oregon and Idaho after a trip across the country via wagon train. Other names in that wagon train, were Savage, Pine and Dealy... I am in California. Dear List, I am trying to find the marriage record of a TUCKER man to Nancy Caroline Johnson. I believe they married in MO, possibly/probably in Douglas Co. about 1878. Records indicate this couple had a daughter, Callie, in June or July: 1880 or 1881. (conflicting records on date of birth). So, does anybody out there with Tucker connections recognize who this Tucker man may have been? I am a Johnson researcher, and have additional info on these persons. Thank you, Judy in TX
Hello list I'm looking for a TUCKER family from New York. The timeframe would've been in the late 1800's and early 1900's. I have an Anna/Annabel BROOKS who married an "unknown" TUCKER. He apparently died between 1920-1950) My FIL thinks it was an accidental death. He had two children Alice and Ethel. Ethel married a Charles MARCULES and Alice married a Norman LEE. They lived in Staten Island New York for sometime and Alice then went to Florida and remarried to a Earl TERRY. Alice & Norman had a daughter Valerie who was living in California. Valerie apparently never married per my FIL. I'm looking for information on who the TUCKER man was as well as birth, death, etc. I also need information on Anna BROOKS and what happened to her as well as Alice, Norman LEE and Earl TERRY. Valerie.......could possibly still be living, though probably in early to mid 70's....so out of respect I won't request information being she is ...or could possibly be living. Thanks to anyone that can help with the lookup....or......if any names ring a bell...contact me. Lyn from PA.
Hello all, There are still Tuckers in Erie County. I am one but I am of the Virginia Tuckers. I am stuck at Lambert or Lampton Tucker, born appx. 1780, in Virginia. I have no idea who his wife was. They had a son named Martin. born appx. 1801-1810 in Kentucky. Martin married a Melinda Owen of Tennessee, and they had five children , Luttitia, Egbert, John, William and Alice. They eventually moved on to California appx 1852. If this sounds like a match to anyone, please e-mail me! Thanks! Brigitte Tucker-Ford ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL.
